Seattle Study Club of Central New England was created almost 17 years ago  Since 2000 our club experienced many changes, yet the high-quality education provided has always been a constant. Today Ancy Verdier, DMD is the director of this exclusive club.

Dr. Ancy Verdier earned his B.A. in Psychology from Tufts University, where he served as Student Body President and was the winner of the coveted Wendell Phillips Award (sole student speaker at graduation). Following his graduation, Dr. Verdier completed the post-baccalaureate program at Harvard University and then matriculated at Tufts University’s School of Dental Medicine. After receiving his Doctor of Dental Medicine, Dr. Verdier completed a prestigious three-year residency program in Periodontology at Tufts University School of Dental Medicine, after which he was awarded Diplomate status by the American Academy of Periodontology. He also was featured in the magazine Incisal Edge Top 40 Dentist under 40. Finally, Dr. Verdier is a member and Fellow in the International College of Dentists and American College of Dentists. Dr. Verdier is a former teacher at NYU School of Dentistry, Lincoln Hospital GPR Program, and Interfaith Hospital GPR program. He is a frequent speaker at national dental meetings and oral health seminars. Currently, Dr. Verdier is the Director of The Seattle Study Club of Central New England, a dental study club for advanced and comprehensive dentistry and clinical excellence in Worcester, Massachusetts and surrounding areas, which includes over 40 dentists from all aspects of dentistry. He serves on numerous boards including the Board of Trustees of Tufts University, Board of Advisors of Tufts Dental School and Board of Directors of Hanover Theatre. He is also a regular contributor to Tufts Practice Based Research Network. Outside of the office, Dr. Verdier enjoys a great workout class, playing golf, and spending time with his wife Katherine and 2 daughters.

Born in Savannah, Georgia, Dr. Emily E. Hahn completed her Bachelor of Arts at Wellesley College. She obtained her D.M.D. degree and completed a residency in periodontics, dental implant surgery and IV conscious sedation at the Dental College of Georgia. In addition, she obtained a Master of Science in Oral Biology for her work on rhBMP-2 induced inflammatory response. Based on her accomplishments, Dr. Hahn was awarded numerous research and academic awards: Emile T. Fischer Scholarship, Wrigley Salivary Research Award, Mark Ritz Research Scholar, Connie L. Drisko Resident Award and JAG 20 Emerging Alumni Leader Award. She has been published in a peer-reviewed journal and has co-authored a chapter edited by Dr. S. Froum, Dental Implant Complications: Etiology, Prevention, and Treatment. She is board certified by the American Board of Periodontology and is an active member of the American Academy of Periodontology, American Dental Association, Massachusetts Dental Society, Academy of Osseointegration, and International Team for Implantology (ITI). She currently maintains a private practice, Worcester Periodontics, in Worcester, MA. Dr. Hahn performs all aspects of comprehensive periodontics and dental implant surgery including oral medicine, periodontal plastic surgery, regeneration, and dental implant placement. She has received additional training in Wilckodontics® – Accelerated Osteogenic Orthodontics™ and laser dentistry. She is certified by the Institute for Advanced Laser Dentistry for proficiency in Dental Laser Surgery. Dr. Hahn follows the LANAP® and LAPIP® laser protocol. In her spare time, Dr. Hahn enjoys hiking, cooking and traveling.
